STEM introduces meaningful and interesting learning experiences to students, so I want all students to be able to participate in these opportunities.
Katie Kelly is the Supervisor of STEM and district support for the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29. Within this position, she plans, coordinates, and facilitates STEM summer camps, MakerSpace activities, and STEM activity visits at her district schools. Before becoming the Supervisor of STEM at IU29, Katie taught 6th grade science for 8.5 years. She also served as the elementary science department chair, where she worked to help her elementary colleagues introduce more STEM activities and lessons into their classrooms. Katie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Level Education with a concentration in science from Millersville University. She earned her Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Wilkes University in December, 2017.
