The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC), a community foundation, inspires giving by partnering with donors to achieve their charitable goals, and strengthens our local communities by investing in them now, and for future generations. TFEC has been serving the South Central Pennsylvania counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, and Perry, and the Dillsburg Area for nearly 100 years. Regional foundations of TFEC include the Greater Harrisburg Community Foundation, the Franklin County Community Foundation, the Mechanicsburg Area Community Foundation, the Perry County Community Foundation, and the Dillsburg Area Foundation. At a Glance: The fiscal agent allows a charitable group without a 501(c) (3) to operate as a non-profit under TFECs 501( c) (3) designation. This allows the group to secure corporate donations, offer tax benefits to their donors, and apply for grants in addition to many other benefits. TFEC is responsible of all contributions and prepares and sends acknowledgment letters to donors.
For this specific initiative TFEC will also be assisting with sharing the STEM Ecosystem with other local funders to educate them about the opportunities available through this initiative and their ability to support it as a partner.
