Sue is the Regional Director for Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties. Sue believes that all programs, subjects, and learning communities should be integrated. Sue has served as an elementary and special education teacher, special education director, and curriculum director in multiple school districts. Since 2005, she has been employed at IU 15 as a Program Evaluation Specialist and Educational Services Supervisor. She works with entities to evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness, with the largest evaluations being cross-district math and science professional development and student afterschool programs. Sue also advocates for teachers and students through developing and facilitating professional learning opportunities, instructional coaching, student STEM competitions and summer camps, and environmental education. Sue holds a B.S.Ed. in Elementary Education from Penn State University, an M.S.Ed in Special Education from Duquesne University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Penn State University.
At a Glance: Regional directors are concentrated at the Intermediate Unit locations and all serve as STEM Consultants or Supervisors that communicate and collaborate with K-12 school systems in their territory daily. They will be overseeing communication to schools, and coordinating future collaborations/projects in their region when funding is accessible within the ecosystem.
