I believe that science is a way for people to understand their world. The more STEM opportunities we can provide to children, the richer their lives will be.

Michele is the executive director of Discovery Space of Central PA, a hands-on science center that she helped to open in State College, PA in 2011.Her research and work in science centers for the past 14 years has centered on providing engaging STEM experiences for children and families. She has earned a B.S. in Astrophysics from Penn State, an M.S. in Informal Science Learning from Oregon State and a Ph.D. in Science Education from Penn State. She currently serves on the board of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) State College Branch.
