Workshop #1: Resources for Teaching about Climate and Earth Sciences
This FREE workshop will review content, activities, and other free teaching. We will have breakout group discussions of implementation and of strategies for using resources when teaching online. We will also welcome participant sharing of other favorite climate and energy education resources. Examples of the teaching resources include:
- the award-winning book, The Teacher Friendly Guide to Climate Change, which includes both climate change content and perspectives on how to teach socio-politically controversial issues;
- a series of short videos to help you and your students understand basic physical principles of climate change;
- sets of instructions for running activities, aligned with teaching standards;
- resources for teaching about water resources, energy production and carbon emissions;
- The Teacher-Friendly Guide to the Geology of the Northeastern US
- and more.
