Virtual NGSS Bootcamp for Teachers

Participants will develop a foundational understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and 3-dimensional learning while exploring phenomenon-based teaching and 5E lesson planning. Resources to support NGSS will be provided as well as materials that connect NGSS with PA Academic Standards for Science and Technology. This six-hour professional development session will take place online via Schoology. Participants must attend a synchronous kick-off session to gain an introduction to the course and tips for course navigation. The rest of the course will be conducted asynchronously. The course facilitator will provide feedback on assignments and determine whether all requirements of the online session have been thoughtfully and thoroughly complete

The day before the synchronous kick-off meeting registrants will receive an email with additional information including the Zoom meeting link and the Schoology course code.
